Samaritans Alliance for Health and Development Foundation (DASH)

Samaritans Alliance for Health and Development Foundation (DASH Foundation) is a registered Community Based Organisation (CBO) operating in Uganda. We are based in Pager Division, Kitgum Municipality, Kitgum District.

Our vision is a healthy and empowered community, peacefully co-existing with a sustained livelihood.

DASH Foundation is fully registered with the local authorities. We hold registration number KTG/160 at the District level and PAG246 at the Pager Division level. Our active office is located in Pager Division, Ayul ‘A’, Cuk pa’ Mon Dongo.


Who We Are

DASH Foundation works to improve the health, wellbeing and livelihoods of vulnerable communities. We focus on inclusive development, access to healthcare and community empowerment.

We are supported by a skilled and dedicated team with strong experience in health service delivery, community engagement and development work. Our organisation benefits from:

Health Services and Community Support

DASH Foundation operates a well-established and licensed Health Centre III serving communities in Pager Division.

At our health centre in Ayul ‘B’ Cell, we provide:

  • HIV testing and counselling for adolescents, youth, expectant mothers and the general public

  • Condom distribution for both male and female youth

  • Community outreach through strong networks such as Village Health Teams (VHTs)

Our services are delivered in a respectful, confidential and supportive environment.


Current Programmes

Under Five Free Malaria Programme (CASCADED)

DASH Foundation is currently implementing the CASCADED Under Five Free Malaria Programme. The goal of this programme is to reduce malaria related illness and deaths among infants and children under five years of age.

The programme targets 1,000 children by the end of 2027 and focuses on prevention, early treatment and community awareness. Through this initiative, we aim to protect young lives and strengthen child health outcomes in our community.

The overall goal of DASH Foundation is to increase productivity, inclusion and wellbeing of our target population by 2030.

DASH Foundation is governed by a seven member Board of Directors, made up of professionals from different fields. The Board includes:

  • A Chairperson with a degree in Administration and experience in governance

  • A Vice Chairperson with a degree in Social Sciences and strong programme experience

  • A Finance Chairperson with qualifications in Accounting and Finance Management

  • A Medical Officer leading the health committee

  • A retired educationist heading the education committee

  • An administrator with experience in human rights and advocacy leading the protection committee

The Board is composed of four men and three women and operates through four committees. Its key responsibilities include decision making, budget approval and strategic planning for the organisation.
