The DASH Foundation is a registered community based organisation in Uganda. We work to support the people of Kitgum Municipality and the wider Kitgum District. Our team is made up of skilled professionals dedicated to improving health and local livelihoods.
We believe in a healthy and empowered community where people live in peace and can support themselves. Our main goal is to improve the health and wellbeing of our community by 2030.
To achieve this, we follow five core values:
Integrity: Being honest and fair.
Reliability: Being dependable in our work.
Professionalism: Maintaining high standards.
Accountability: Taking responsibility for our actions.
Transparency: Being open about our operations.
We operate a registered and licensed Health Centre III in the Pager Division. This facility allows us to provide essential medical services directly to the community, including:
HIV Services: Testing and counselling for young people, expectant mothers, and the general public.
Preventative Care: Distribution of condoms and health education for young men and women.
Community Outreach: Working closely with Village Health Teams (VHTs) to reach people in their homes.
Malaria Programme: We are currently running the Under Five Free Malaria Programme. Our goal is to protect 1,000 children from malaria complications and reduce child deaths by the end of 2027.
