DASH Foundation operates a well established, registered and fully licensed Health Centre III serving communities in Pager Division, Kitgum Municipality. The health centre provides essential primary healthcare services in a safe, organised and supportive environment.
Our facility plays a central role in improving access to healthcare for vulnerable groups, including children under five, expectant mothers, adolescents and the general population.
Through this health centre, we deliver HIV testing and counselling, maternal and child health services, malaria prevention and referral services. The centre works closely with community structures to ensure timely care, early treatment and follow-up support for those in need.
Qualified and Experienced Staff
Our Health Centre III is staffed by qualified and experienced health professionals who are committed to delivering quality care with respect and professionalism. The team includes trained health workers, counsellors and community health personnel with strong experience in primary healthcare and public health interventions.
Staff members are knowledgeable in HIV services, malaria prevention, maternal and child health and community outreach. Continuous skills development and adherence to professional standards ensure safe, effective and people-centred service delivery.
Behaviour Change Communication Materials
DASH Foundation uses Behaviour Change Communication (BCC) materials to promote healthy behaviours and informed decision-making within the community. These materials support education on malaria prevention, HIV awareness, maternal health, hygiene and sanitation.
By using simple, culturally appropriate messages, the health centre helps individuals and families understand health risks and adopt positive practices that improve long-term wellbeing. BCC activities are delivered through the health facility, community outreach and Village Health Teams.
Strong Partnerships With Political and Technical Leadership
The Health Centre III operates with strong support and coordination from political and technical leadership in Kitgum Municipality and Kitgum District. These partnerships ensure alignment with government health priorities, compliance with national guidelines and effective service delivery.
Regular engagement with local authorities, health offices and community leaders strengthens accountability, coordination and sustainability of health services within the community.
Strategic Health Partnerships
DASH Foundation works in partnership with recognised national and international organisations to strengthen health service delivery at the Health Centre III. Key partners include:
TASO Uganda (The AIDS Support Organisation)
Global Fund
CARE
Government of Uganda
These partnerships enhance technical capacity, resource mobilisation, programme quality and access to essential health services. Through collaboration, the health centre is able to deliver integrated and responsive healthcare interventions.
An Active Board of Directors and Secretariat
DASH Foundation is guided by an active and functional Board of Directors and supported by a dedicated Secretariat. The Board provides strategic direction, governance and oversight, while the Secretariat manages daily operations and programme implementation.
This strong leadership structure ensures transparency, accountability and effective management of the Health Centre III and all related programmes.
